There is so much information available for small business. So we encourage you to search, read and study. If you find a source that was particularly
helpful please tell us. Below is my list of recommendations.
Jill Whalen is the premier SEO expert, in my opinion. No, she does not
have fancy international offices, nor a staff of marketers but she does have longevity and real world experience helping small business get rankings. Everything I have
learned about SEO I heard from Jill first. Check out her site.
Seth Godin You either know Seth and have read everything he writes or you have not yet been introduced to him. He is a marketing visionary. You may
not like all he says as he points out current marketing trends, but you cannot deny he has thoroughly researched his topic. Seth is irrevant on purpose - he
wants to cast attention on the fact that people are buying differently. Those who seize the day win, others will be left behind.
Inc Magazine The day this arrives is always a good day. All entrepreneurs should subscribe. I get ideas, encouragement and a strengthening belief in myself perusing these pages.
Michael Gerber The E-Myth should be the first book any entrepreneur reads but don't stop there. Check out the site and other books. Gerber gets at the
real reason for entrepreneurship with a recognition of the pain and joy this endeavor generates. However, do not follow him on Twitter unless you want
more than a dozen messages every week.
Business Incubators If you can take advantage of an incubator do so. These people are committed to small business success. Most offer advice and expert guidance
free or at a fraction of normal cost. They understand the protection a fledging business needs and they know the heights to which that bird can fly.
